Many small businesses fail to completely understand what their “brand” is. The common thought is that it is your company name and logo, but this is a bit short-sighted.
A business brand is the sum total of all experiences a potential client or customer has with the business. It’s all the visuals including logo, advertising, name, etc.
The piece many people don’t get is that your brand is every interaction someone has with your employees and your customer service. In small businesses, the personal brand of the owner also reflects on the brand of the business. Make sure to recognize that “branding” involves every aspect of the business, not just the logo and name.
